There we go, that wasn’t so hard. I am sure every place thereafter will charge this team up front going forward.

Hope they waited for the check to clear first.

“The Trump campaign booked the smaller of two venues at the same complex in downtown Asheville for Wednesday’s rally. The Thomas Wolfe Auditorium has a capacity of just 2,431 people, while a larger arena next door that is not hosting Trump has a capacity of 7,200.”
But I thought Trump always got the best people, the best crowds and the best arenas. Sad!

> While the campaign paid in advance due to Asheville’s policy for short-notice bookings, Trump has a long history of failing to pay cities for billed rally fees, leaving the White House in January 2021 with at least $850,000 in unpaid rally debt. Most of the bills are still unpaid, including more than $500,000 owed to the city of El Paso, Texas.
Asheville learned from Texans’ misplaced trust.

I visited a small town near charlotte, North Carolina recently for 2 weeks. Not one single Trump sign, flag, truck, poster, billboard, nothing!

Isn’t Asheville a blue area of North Carolina?

His track record suggests that all businesses would be wise to demand cash up-front from Trump and his miserable campaign.

It is possible that Trump is not coming out for rally due to his campaign financial issue. We know that he has a lot of legal bills to pay.
Every city should ask this guy with six bankrupt records to pay full in advance.
$500000 in unpaid debt to a left leaning part of Texas? This is sad.

Smart city administrators. Get paid upfront, because if they don’t, they won’t see a cent.

His unpaid debt to these different cities ought be brought up to needle him. “Cheapo Donald Trump still owes El Paso $500.000!”

For those that don’t know, the Trump campaign has not been paying its bills for use of event space. His campaign owes millions of dollars.

This is why Trump hasn’t been campaigning as of lately. Outdoor rallies are no longer a safe option and cities won’t rent him arenas anymore.

I don’t follow Trump’s travel schedule closely, but it seems to me that he has been avoiding outdoor venues since the attempted assassination. Is he now being forced to use indoor venues due to security, at a higher monetary cost to the campaign than outdoor venues?

Venue only holds 2500 people. So when he starts claiming that there were 80,000 people there we can all call bullshit.

If given the opportunity, Trump would have ripped off Asheville just like he’s ripped off dozens of other cities. All of the police and others who work his rallies either don’t get paid the overtime they are entitled to *or* the money comes from the community itself and it can’t be spent on other things like parks, after school programs, and things to benefit the community. He’s taking money out of our pockets every time he brings his freak show circus to town.

You might want to authenticate that the cash is not counterfeit. Supposedly, there is a reason that US Banks don’t do business with him.

How stupid do you have to be to let the Trump campaign book anything without payment up front?

If he or anybody on his “staff” gave a shit, a minimum of research would’ve told them Asheville is a big college town and a blue island in a red ocean. Not a friendly venue.
