Falling into a Neutron Star (Simulation)

  1. No, no splat.

With no event horizon, we should be able to see Bob and Alice get pancaked. Op is a tease. 🙁

  2. It shouldn’t be dark below the crust, with all the x-ray light is coming from the hot matter all around you.

  3. Just wanted to plug a great novel from 1980 about life on a neutron star, titled *Dragon’s Egg* by Robert L. Forward.

  4. Would be cool if we saw stats along the way, temperatures? Pressure? Not the expert here but it helps with perspective.

The interior is superfluid with no viscosity so if you were to fall into it I believe you would not stop at the center of the star, you would continue to the other side and then return, oscillating back and forth forever.

    PS — very cool video!
