The new UK government is taking a hard look at whether they need so much “planning”. We should do the same.

Same losers were going to approve a white water rapid course in the Docklands until a public backlash. Who votes for these gobshites?

In fairness an airport should have really good public transport, so if they could fix that, there would be no need for a car park for staff, but anyways I’ll wait the 50 years for the metro like everyone else

The right decision.

Well…those employees are lucky to be working at a well connected airport, and can take the train or the metro or the frequent bus services……./s

the national infrastructure policy is apparently “take aim at foot and fire”

This is the reality now. You just won’t get permission for parking. I’m surprised they weren’t warned of this. If there is parking, people will drive. If there is less parking, people will find another way.

Those saying the workers should use public transport, no matter what is spent on Public transport you cannot have 24 hour coverage for every possible route an airport worker will need. You have people coming off 12 hour shifts that may live in Kells, Virginia, Dundalk or Drogheda. So are they expected to wait an hour after work for a bus ? And maybe arrive at work an hour early ? Nevermind some routes take twice what they would driving
