  1. She could collapse the nightmarish legacy that he spent the last two decades creating. I would be terrified if I were him.

  2. “kneecapping the Republican Party” looks suspiciously like allowing the majority of this country to govern itself as it sees fit, while ignoring a minority of backwater yahoos who need to get their asses in gear and join us in the 21st century.

  3. R’s have cut themselves off through decades of terrible legislation and ruling from the bully pulpit. They lost nearly 1m supporters from Covid-19 deaths and continue to enact legislation to advance a shrinking base and outdated philosophy. Now, they’re supporting Project 2025 and have doubled down on their racist agenda. It’s time to set this party to rest. People deserve better.

  4. If the Democrats hold the Senate and Retake the house, they need to get rid of the Filibuster, Pass DC Statehood, and stop trying to be diplomatic with the GOP

Edit: I also am in favor of Puerto Rico Statehood, but please see this comment as to why I didn’t mention it initially: https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/s/2rybkV0lm2

  5. The Republican party kneecapped itself the moment they tied their entire movement to the fate of a twice impeached convicted felon who tried to overturn an election.

  6. In other words, the public knows the end stage of the plan (Trump’s Project 2025) and Republicans know the corruption they’ve spend decades building in will come tumbling down unless Trump wins and implements the New American Kingdom.

That wheezing old bag of turtle goo can sit back and shit his diaper while helplessly watching all of his evil designs fall apart. Reap it Turtleman!

If we kneecap them they can still crawl towards their goals. I’d prefer a more aggressive approach.

What I have learned from Republicans is that if we engage in the same behaviors they do we are “kneecapping them,” if we make things more fair we are “kneecapping them,” if we end gerrymandering we are “kneecapping them,” if we end the electoral college we are “kneecapping them”.

Basically if we do popular policy for the average America we are “kneecapping them?”

  10. They could try having policies that appeal to more people. You know, like earn votes. Guess that’s just too hard.

  11. > Mitch McConnell is terrified Kamala Harris will enact policies that end up kneecapping the Republican Party.

…because that’s what he would do in their place.

I’m not saying they won’t, but Republican fear is always rooted in projection.

You mean like making elections more fair, checking the power of the courts that the Federalist Society have corrupted, making the Congress more representative, adding states so that everybody that is part of the United States has a voice?

    Willy Wonka: No. Stop. Don’t.

  13. Oh, is Dr. Frankenstein worried that his Monster has caused people to rise up against *him*?

    Boo the fuck Hoo.

Dump is kneecapping the entire country.

Remember on Nov 5, your choice is the former prosecutor or the convicted felon who is always for sale to the highest bidder.

It isn’t kneecapping the Republican party. She will level the playing field. Republicans have been playing with a different set of rules for fifty years. They rig, gerrymander, and disenfranchise the entire country to benefit their personal finances. The Republican party *only* serves themselves. They have no interest in legislating and no interest in governing. They only want to campaign and socialize with billionaires.

Yes, please, dump the electoral college, ban gerrymandering nationally and reform campaign financing laws and maybe we can finally be a normal country where parties win on their political platform. Crazy ideas, I know.

They wouldn’t  “kneecap” the Republicans, they’d just blunt the enormously disproportionate power the Republicans currently enjoy, despite being a minority party of perverts and weirdos.

I hope that Mitch lives long enough to watch the collapse of the Republican Party.

I recall Mitch McConnell saying about Obama “Our goal is to make sure he’s a one term President”. This ghoul has the nerve! If Kamala wins with a majority in the house and senate I hope they get rid of the filibuster and pass legislation like hot cakes.

  20. Glitch has been “kneecapping” the work of this country for decades.
He should worry & regret it for the rest of his miserable life.

Yeah, that radical liberal Harris will kneecap the Republicans by doing crazy things like allowing books on shelves and women to speak up for themselves. Can’t have that in the Republican party.
