Ironic that the same media companies trump loves to insult are the ones taking the higher road here and not publishing.

  2. TrickyDefinition3402 on

They were oh so excited to for Hilary. But Trump is totally off limits? What a load of BS.

  3. Remarkable, isn’t it?

‘Objectivity’, in the modern age, means providing Donald Trump with a generous handicap at every given opportunity, so that he can compete.

His entire life is a fuckin participation medal, but luckily a bunch of news media execs get to go to sleep every night with the smug self-satisifaction about keeping things ‘fair’, I guess.

  4. Which is why I’m perfectly fine if she never sits down with the press

It would be a complete waste of time and they’re totally worthless

    From the article:

    >Instead, Politico, The New York Times and The Washington Post have written about a potential hack of the campaign and described what they had in broad terms.

    >Their decisions stand in [marked contrast](https://apnews.com/article/trump-campaign-hacking-iran-769d8411d9a13ef9a0e039c0b6c3b032) to the 2016 presidential campaign, when a Russian hack exposed emails to and from Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, John Podesta. The website Wikileaks published a trove of these embarrassing missives, and mainstream news organizations covered them avidly.

This marked contrast is sketchy af. There are valid reasons to believe those publications would have again reported insider material if it came from the campaign of the Democratic candidates.

Can’t the leaker just post anonymously on reddit or something? Why would the information have to be published by a major news outlet?

In this internet age I don’t think there’s much more than a cheat sheet for those interested in the dirt on Vance. There’s tons of publicly available negative stuff on him and it will spill out slowly. This smells like internal jockeying for power with some group wanting to push out Vance using the 3 Republican Rep switch that can be made under their bylaws. I think it shows how desperate the inner circle is and by extension shows they are worried about their in house polling showing breakaway momentum if they don’t change direction very fast.

  8. The same news outlets whining that Harris won’t do interviews with them on demand.

    Imagine that.

How many seconds would it take Newsmax or Fox News to publish information from Kamala’s campaign? The double standard is ridiculous.

  10. Grouchy_Aide_3018 on

People should be raging about this. The double standard from 2016 is so obvious it makes people’s head spin, especially given the high likelihood no foreign adversary was actually involved. Billionaires protecting one of their own.

  11. Admiral_Gial_Ackbar on

And another difference of note, the Harris campaign isn’t out there exhorting our nation’s enemies to find dirt on Trump, publish it, and for our geopolitcal foes to put their finger on the scale of our election. It’s almost like they have integrity or something!

The most hilarious part of all of this is they got in through Roger Stone.

    https://www.huffpost.com/entry/iran-hacker-roger-stone-donald-trump_n_66bafcd1e4b0f1d232372402

Who would’ve thought that a [cucking](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6640233/Inside-Roger-Stones-swinging-marriage-posted-ads-online-frequented-sex-clubs.html) lunatic who dresses like a Adam West era Batman villain with a Dick Nixon tattoo on his back might not be up to date on his anti-phishing training?

  13. There must be someone on their staff willing to take one for the team in order to save democracy and possibly the world. Please, newspaper intern, trust me, you will find another job. You will be a national, no… _global_ hero.

“Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Trump’s campaign, said over the weekend that “any media or news outlet reprinting documents or internal communications are doing the bidding of America’s enemies.”

by his logic the trump campaign was doing Russia’s bidding but then again we all knew that already

  15. DatabaseFickle9306 on

It seems that all—all—the major news media outlets are a combination of afraid of Trump and Project 2025 curious that we can no longer trust them. They have never been on the side of the people but are less so now. Trump was right about them being the enemy of the people. He neglected to mention he is one of them.

  16. we already know how fucked up the rump campaign is

but if the hackers are listening, just use WikiLeaks

Love how these media enterprises only decide to ‘learn their lesson’ when it comes to shielding the DJT campaign from their ineptitude.

‘Journalistic neutrality’ is such a massive problem, and only serves to launder the abhorrent views of an increasingly more radical American right-wing, all in the name of *the appearance* of taking a centrist position.

So so so sick of this shit. Next up – insisting that the hype for Harris-Walz ticket has died down.

  18. Because they are cowards and they are complicate in the downfall of America. It’s literally about money and ratings over country.

  19. Legacy media is dying and Trump as President provides daily clickbait.

It’s one of the many reasons why Kamala’s Campaign has bypassed them and is surging on social media.

  20. CoyoteTheGreat on

Democrats need to organize a boycott of all these news agencies. Its time to stop letting billionaires completely control the narrative.

  21. Straight_Calendar_15 on

Bullshit. I’m so sick of the conservatives having no rules to play by but we sit here with our thumb up our butts

  22. PepperMill_NA on

2016 election Democrats were hacked and the press published everything they could get their hands on.

Press ran with Hunter Biden’s laptop for years.

    Why not this?

  23. At this stage its pretty obvious the puppet masters behind the media are pulling for a Trump win because they like the rating that come with him. He’s the candidate of the ultra-wealthy and he’s promising them tax cuts, lining their pockets will always override anything else.

  24. The media shouldn’t publish content acquired illegally from hostile foreign actors.

The problem isn’t that they’re correctly refusing to publish the dirt on Vance now. It’s that they shouldn’t have published the dirt on Hillary Clinton eight years ago.

  25. homelander__6 on

Funny how these scumbags would have printed it if it were Harris or Biden or Hillary.

Do you remember buttery males? Pepperidge farms remembers!

  26. That is just the height of bullshit. They didn’t extend this grace to Hillary and the Dems in 2016 but they’ll do it for these ratfuck fascists??? Send it to me Iran and I’ll publish it!

I can’t wait for these media conglomerates to collapse with the rest of the network tv model and all these hack “journalists” lose their jobs. They deserve to be pelted with tomatoes in the stockades for how much damage they’ve done to this nation.

  27. pinetreesgreen on

MSM took large portions of Clinton’s emails and quoted them. Seems very dishonest not to do the same for trump.

  28. I am not saying its the right or wrong choice, but just to keep scrore:

When it happened to Hillary, they printed it endlessly, and it when it happened to Trump, they didn’t at all. To huge advantage of Trump each time.

  29. HurricaneFloyd on

Just more proof ALL news outlets are right wing aligned, even when they pretend like they are not.

  30. MoveToRussiaAlready on

Meanwhile, Biden sneezes back to back and there is 24/7 coverage over how he has the plague and will die any moment now.

  31. accountabilitycounts on

In the “liberal media,” if it hurts the Dems – good. If it hurts the cons – sweep it under the rug and both sides the issue.
