      As bad as the whole situation is, I think the outcome would be the same (perpetrator released on bail) if the victim was a normal member of the public.

      I don’t think public figures should be getting preferential treatment from public services. What’s next, they get to skip to the top of the public waiting list for health issues?

      Imagine making those threats, after everything that’s gone on and its ah sure it’s grand, he’s to go home and give his ma a cup of tea and cut her toenails. Just stay off the Internet.

      Surely not being able to go home and look after his mother is the consequences of what he’s done? He wasn’t thinking of his mother when making threats to kill innocent kids.

      Sure didn’t they give bail to that fella who stabbed a French teacher in Cork a few weeks back.

      He then goes on to murder his partner.
