Probably the best you can do with the Nikon P1000 when it comes to the ISS (handheld)
The photo is a composite made from parts of a few different images of the station (all of which are stacked video frames), cropped, 500% enlarged, sharpened, with slight corrections of the exposure
This is fantastic for a p1000. I would have assumed diffraction limits of the optics would prevent these details.

ISS is also moving along at 7.5 km (5 mi) per *second,* many times faster than a bullet. Focus lock! Clouds!
