    Tax receipts up, yah!!!

    Spending up, oooh!

This whole thing needs to be taken with a large pinch of salt. Migration is still huge, so the economy is still growing which is great but spending growth is out of control.

The government introduced a 5% spending increase cap just before Covid and we’ve broken it every year since it’s been introduced.

This is Celtic Tiger economics. There is going to be a giveaway budget so that FFG can get themselves re-elected and the simple fact of the matter is, when a recession comes, we are fucked. We are so over reliant on the MNCs that when they dip, we will crash.

A giveaway budget is the last thing we need to be doing with an already overheated economy.
