Every airport is more expensive than normal fastfood, but our airport is more expensive than normal one because it is more expensive than Europe. The reason for this is the shop rent and the high salaries of the staff who speak foreign languages.

Welcome turkey my friend, these prices because of the goverment.

As Turks, we love being ripped off. Whenever there’s someone selling at a higher price, we think it’s better and shop from them. And at airports, when rents are high, they use inflation and the rising dollar exchange rate as an excuse to increase prices even more.

Lol look at these nerds trying to justify this shit with rent or something. All London airports are cheaper than Turkish airports. Its because of greed and a failed free market environment.

Cheeseburgers were like 4€ in Amsterdam Aiport back in 2019, so this seems in line.

$28 dollars for a burger combo at San Francisco airport I was flabbergasted. Cost me $5 for a small bottle of water.

Its because people are buying them for that price. Simple economics

Because part of this price goes to the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost in Turkey.

The funny part is if you fly domestic out of the same airport, the food in that terminal is dirt cheap and much more delicious. My husband and I had an absolute feast for $20 last year flying from IST to Antalya. Then paid $50 for 2 tiny doner wraps when we flew back to the us

Jaysus. Prices in Dublin Airport are almost identical to outside prices. Usually it’s 50 cent or worst case 1 euro more expensive.

We Turks generally avoid buying anything at airports, they are just rip-offs. Even outside the airports, food prices are very high due to inflation.
