I’ve responded to tiktok fascists racists and other head wobblers and had the same instant removal as they spew hate. I started a thread about tiktok’s empire of hate last Sunday but it got modded.
As someone who has a big Irish head I am conflicted.

At least half of what I call my friend to their face would be called hate speech on the internet. Internet lacks context and assumes everyone is offended by words.
I miss the days of sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.

tik tok doesnt account for context. in fairness i’d much rather hate speech filters be a bit too extreme than being not functional. although tik tok does have a problem with nazi dog whistles that ti needs to fix. the amount of people with ⚡️⚡️in their names and 14/88 spouting shite is dangerous.

Moderation on social media is a joke, I saw a genuine Nazi saying that Germany is bad now because of pride parades and then contrasting that with a positive view of Nazi germany. I reported it and there were no violations apparently.
