I think it’s a component of technological and economic supremacy. Which is more important than military. You can’t have the best military without first having the best economy and technology.
Get off the Muskrat’s cock. SpaceX exists today because it got NASA contract. US space dominance is due to NASA, not Elon.
I’d say that NASA had more impact on US space/military supremacy more so than SpaceX
