There definitely is pressure. The article also mentions that the Russian transportation company Armenia had a contract with “couldn’t” deliver the weapons from India.
This is when Iran stepped in.
However, from the news from India, from the director of Bahrain Forge for example, have mentioned that “another batch will be delivered to Armenia soon”, so even if Iran wasn’t helping us out, we’ve found a way to get the weapons in.
And the response of the Iranian ambassador is not worrying, it’s diplomatic. Armenia doesn’t want to admit that weapons are coming to Armenia. (And without Azerbaijani media we wouldn’t even know that Margs and ATAGS are being delivered), nor does Iran want to admit that they are allowing weapons to be transported through them, both for their relationship with Armenia, and for their own sake.
In this month, an Iranian cargo plane associated with the Iranian military (according to tg channels), has done unspecified travel 3-4 times in a week. Back in the beginning of the month. First captured by Azerbaijani tg channels.
Coincidently, a month ago during the news that we were “having delivery problems”. We also signed an air transportation deal with an Indian company, speculated to be for our military purchases.
Not only that, currently its Russia buying Iranian weaponry, so I’m not really sure how Russia will exert more influence than India would since India is more interested in selling and getting those weapons to Armenia
