Tokio Marine reveals major potential customer data leak Japanese insurers say that more than 60,000 pieces of information may have leaked after a ransomware attack. It involves major non-life insurer Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance and two other group companies.

The firms say an accounting company they use detected abnormalities at its servers in early June. It found that a total of about 63,200 pieces of information may have been compromised.

The information includes customer names, addresses and phone numbers. The companies say they are working to identify and notify people whose data may have been leaked.

The firms have apologized for the incident.
