Roof collapses at India's New Delhi airport, killing one A roof collapsed early Friday morning at the international airport in New Delhi, leaving at least one person dead. The airport operator blames heavy rains.

Falling roof pillars crushed several vehicles at the pickup and drop-off area. Part of a canopy caved in at a departure terminal mainly used for domestic services at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Local media say several people were injured.

The operator says some departure flights from the terminal were canceled and other flights are being rescheduled.

Torrential rain has continued in and around the capital since Thursday, inundating roads and causing other damage.
