Armed troops temporarily took over a central square in La Paz, Bolivia, on Wednesday. Some soldiers forced their way into the presidential palace. They reportedly later pulled back.
Footage shows a number of soldiers and armored vehicles gathering in Plaza Murillo, where key buildings such as the presidential palace and the national assembly are located.
It also shows an armored vehicle ramming an entrance to the presidential palace and soldiers rushing in.
Local media outlets report that the troops withdrew after the new army chief appointed by President Luis Arce called on them to return to their units.
Reports say one of the military commanders was dismissed on Tuesday, and he expressed strong dissatisfaction with the current administration.
