  1. Talat stated that Turkish Cypriots became ignored by the world in the process that started with Turkey discussing solutions outside the federation after the Crans Montana talks, and emphasized that the interventions in the Presidential elections started an anti-solution period.

Talat stated that even the Immovable Property Commission Law (TMK), which is accepted as a part of international law, is now in danger and said, “The delusion that the TMK law solves the property problem is turning into a dream with the latest developments.”

Referring to the importance of the UN Security Council resolutions, Talat said that the only way for Turkish Cypriots to get out of this trap is to return to rational policies. “We will defend our rights by meeting and talking. “We will prove again that we are the party to the solution,” said Talat, adding that otherwise Turkish Cypriots would become even more isolated in the international arena.

Mehmet Ali Talat stated that the Turkish Cypriot leadership and Turkey should reconsider the policies they follow.

Luckily for us Erhuman will likely be the only contender in 2025; well. except for the fact that the “economic cooperartion agreement” basically made it free for new-to-arrive citizen-purchasers to settle here, but y’know, keep talking, i’m sure it’ll help.
