EAC is currently in conflict with the Ministry of Energy. EAC wants to install two new gas-powered generators at a cost of €80-90 million. EAC insists that the cost should be paid by both its own customers, as well as customers of other private companies that provide electricity, listed on their invoices as "Public Service Obligation (PSO)". The Commissioner says that this could be deemed as an irregular state aid to EAC.

The fact that at the gas prices and these battery prices eac is installing anything other than solar and batteries is a joke.

And yes this is because you can take bribes for long gas delivery contracts and maintenance contracts while solar and battery need neither. This is the case on every damn sunny and corrupt island.

I am suprised, they didn’t charge and additional 10 millis for their hard work🤡

  3. I won’t get into the debate as it’s worthless talking with people in bad faith. But, bottom line, the only reason, energy costs haven’t dropped ten fold in this sunny island is because EAC wants to keep on with its monopoly. Full Stop.
