My man don’t know how restoration works. It is always different companies. Also there are a lot of good examples.

I have seen so much vandalism, not only in the form of restoration, but also in many cases where historical buildings are sold, destroyed, and left in ruins. In some instances, they are replaced by ugly structures. The University of Acting, a masterpiece, was destroyed and there remains only a hole in the ground where it once stood. The Atlants holding up a theater near the Swans Fountain were sold and never restored. Many beautiful old houses in European style have been demolished, replaced either by poor-quality parks or shitty skyscrapers. The entire city’s beauty and history are disappearing, and it breaks my heart.
The explanation for the poor restoration is simple: they are just acıgöz and just eat all the budget. They take 90% of the budget for themselves and use cheap paint for restoration projects. They even tried this in the centre of Baku, on a historic building near my house, but were exposed by the public and forced to redo the work.
Trust me, for some reasons the mentality of most of our people is to earn and eat as much money as you can, not caring about people or the city. Half of current candidates on any governmental position are ready to steal as soon as they get power
