“The BLOODY Battle for Košare began on this day, 25 years ago. On Orthodox Good Friday, April 9, 1999, NATO aviation, Albanian Army artillery and about 1,500 KLA infantry-terrorists attacked a total of 130 border guards of the 53rd Border Battalion of our army in area of the Košara watchtower. The plan was for Albanian terrorists, as NATO infantry, to overrun the Serbian defenses in a flash and create a safe corridor through the Junički mountains for a real land invasion that would be carried out by the soldiers of Western countries. Unfortunately for the planners of the NATO operation, the Serbian soldiers withstood the hellish attacks of the aggressors and terrorists in which cluster bombs and napalm bombs, as well as radioactive ammunition were used, and defended the most difficult to defend point of the Serbian border at Prokletije. They withdrew from their position as winners only when the Military-Technical Agreement was signed in Kumanovo. In this epic battle, the lives of 108 soldiers, officers and volunteers…”

To sta su uspeli da zaustave ljudi na Kosarama/Juniku a kasnije mozda i vaznije u borbama na Pastriku je i vise nego dovoljno da je svako ko je bio tamo bude proglasen za heroja i da do kraja zivota nista ne mora da radi.
Strasno je koliko se malo zna o tome.
