Japanese tennis star Oda Tokito has won his second consecutive French Open men’s wheelchair singles title, and his fourth Grand Slam.
In the French Open tennis tournament final in Paris on Saturday, the 18-year-old Oda, ranked second in the world, defeated Argentina’s Gustavo Fernandez, the world’s number three, 7-5, 6-3.
Last year, at the age of 17 years and one month Oda won his first French Open, becoming the youngest winner of a men’s Grand Slam title in the category.
He also won the men’s wheelchair singles title at last year’s Wimbledon, and the Australian Open earlier this year.
Saturday’s final was held at the Roland Garros venue, which will host the Paris Paralympic Games that open in late August.
Oda is expected to represent Japan at the Paralympics.
