  1. From videos uploaded and « ըսի ըսաւ»’s online.

It shows Papikyan interested in snipers, Airbus defense products, T-55 modernization (as Bulgaria does T-55AM2s), sub machine guns, and radars.

There was apparently another pitch to sell Caesar artillery systems to Armenia as well. It seems like France really wants to sell their “prized” product to anyone they can. Leonid Nersissyan has already said that the MarG’s will do the job so we don’t really need Caeser’s anymore.

Some French parliament members have also said that “France should sell Caesar to Armenia”, probably through heavy lobbying by the company itself, or shared profit by government members.

Azerbaijan bought 48 Serbian self-propelled artillery systems, that have a range of 31km-43km-55km (while Marg’s have 48km).

EVEN Assuming that Azerbaijan bought the best artillery shells, meaning they can now fire at 55km, it’s very possible we might consider the CAESER due to other advantages.

For example The New MarG’s being imported, to fit on a 4×4 and to be able to be fast, do not have autoloaders. https://idrw.org/kssls-upgraded-marg-br-howitzer-no-autoloader-but-armenia-ordered-72-units/

So to compete with the new NORA’s, France is hoping for Armenia to buy the CAESER system.

France will soon reach a capacity of production of 12 per month. They need customers to continue producing this capacity. And Armenia is not one to be against receiving them relatively quickly. https://www.opex360.com/2024/04/02/artillerie-selon-m-lecornu-la-production-de-caesar-passera-bientot-a-12-exemplaires-par-mois/ with many thinking about who will buy them already…
