According to AccuWeather, Ayia Napa’s temperature is 13 degrees hotter than Paphos. Is that possible, and if yes, how?

  1. They surely fucked something up. Lists similar in Protaras and I have a small weather station sensor and outside under the shade the temp according to it is 35.7. It’s most definitely not 42 around here.

  2. Tfw the weather app doesn’t show Limassol because you searched for Cyprus and not Russia 😭😭

My weather station in Kapparis reported 40.4C today. In the shade.

These temperature differences are possible; a slow breeze from the west means cooler air from the sea hits Paphos, it warms up a lot over the land and by the time it reaches Ayia Napa it’s 42C. It’s pretty rare though and I’d also think it’s just an artifact of where the weather stations are located.
