IDF says the Rafah killing of 45, mainly women and children last week was not really their folk as the bombs they dropped were too small to cause the explosion that transpired, as it must have been a secondary explosion caused by stored weapons.
Maybe.
But the IDF has lied about so much, covered up so much, and made it impossible for western, and even more local Arab news organizations to report effectively, that I just don't believe a word they are saying. Until the allow Arab and Western press organizations safe and meaningful access to all Gaza, I'm just going to assume any IDF communique is a cover up/lie.
I don't think Hamas are spotless, in fact I hope the ICC can eventually get their hands on their leaders, but they don't control the access, Israel does. If the IDF is clean, they could at least allow embeds of journalists into IDF forces. Not great, but at least a step in the right direction.

You realize it’s a war zone, right? You want safe and meaningful access in the entire war zone? This isn’t a video game.
There’s a video posted on Twitter of some guys speaking Arabic and filming the aftermath, where according to the subtitles, they are essentially saying that there was a Hamas jeep that was bombed. Now it could be that Israel bombed a Hamas jeep loaded with explosives, causing a larger explosion. Or it could be that Israel saw this video and is now trying to create an alternate narrative based upon it. Who really knows.

You mean the same news agencies that rushed the headline “IDF bombs hospital. 500 dead.”
Imagine expecting the cleanest war against the dirtiest enemy possible.
