By now it is a problem that we all know, following the excuse of war and energy costs, or to profess to be more sustainable, many companies to increase their margins suddenly increase the price of their products or they reduce the size of the packages.

In other places in Europe they have tried to patch things up somehow, look at you France o Hungary.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote to our supermarkets, complaining about how prices are rising before our eyes from one day to the next, and how it would benefit the community if these differences were reported.

For now I have only received a couple of “thank you, we’ll let you know” or replies that are only fair incredible supercocks.

I therefore invite you too to make yourselves heard and tell them your story.
I leave the message I sent them below, which you can use as inspiration or to which you can add your personal experiences regarding this situation.

Ciao.

Given the continuous anti-consumer practices that product companies are implementing, such as increasing prices without justification or reducing portions while maintaining the same price (see shrinkflation), have you thought about displaying a tag to warn customers of sudden price changes or sneaky reduction in product size?

Thus following in the wake of other supermarkets in Europe

I think it would be something much appreciated by the community, given that we find ourselves disarmed in the face of this type of decision by these companies.

Furthermore, you could use it on your side for an excellent marketing campaign, certainly demonstrating to customers that you are on their side compared to the competition would give you excellent publicity, in the same way in which Iliad won the telephone market, being clear and honest differently from the competition that was hiding behind hidden fare increases.

Thank you.

We can’t always wait for them to come towards us from above and think of us.

Maybe this thing won’t lead to anything, but why do we have to give up like this?

I’d rather crash into the wall of indifference than continue to be the typical employee with his salary stuck for 20 years who has to suffer everything and who has to pay for these anti-consumer practices out of his own pocket.
