In a country as poor as ours where money is tight and we barely get that much foreign funding/aid/investments, the willful squandering of money is astounding. But ofc it’s not just squandering as I’m sure some people have lined their pockets very nicely in this and so many other situations.
This is absolutely horrific. It is a blight. The lack of accountability, the surety that nothing will happen to the wrohlngdoers and the knowledge that if things go sour in Arnenia they can always pack their bags and enjoy their մսխած թալանը somewhere else. What future awaits us if we can’t properly put to use the resources we have now? Resources that might not be there in just a few years. And will anybody be held responsible for all this?

Any tldr on why they were destroyed and to whom it belonged?

It’s the same problem as always in Armenia, negligence, corruption, irresponsibility, incompetence.
If weather was indeed the problem then why wasn’t there a study for wind speeds in the area? Isn’t that what engineering is all about? Ofc you can’t rely on municipality because all previous year studies that were done turns out they weren’t, Donation money was looted and random numbers were entered.

At some point, corruption and incompetence are indistinguishable.
