Switzerland’s Eurovision win is a big deal!
Last win in the 80’s. So well deserved.
This means that next year the event will be hosted here. Cities like Zurich, Bern, Geneva, and Basel are all in the running. They’ve got the cool venues and the right setup.
Swiss cities are getting ready to begin their bidding today to be the Eurovision hotspot in 2025. The Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will pick the winner, they’ll convene on Sunday.
If I had to pick a place? Zurich’s got the buzz to make Eurovision 2025 unforgettable. But hey, I might be biased because I live here. Each city’s got its own magic, so it’s gonna be awesome no matter what.

It will obviously be held in Olten. How could any other city compete with that?
Do the cities generally get announced quite quickly? I saw Malmö was announced last July already.
I think anything else than Zurich or Basel would be somewhat impractical, but hey, maybe another city gets a tourism boost, that’s also great.
Züri – Hallenstadion
– Large venue
– Large city + necessary infrastrucutre
– Close to a large airport
– SRG is there
– Plenty of money to fund it

Im crossing my fingers for Bern! – like you, i’m biased, i live here😂 but also as an ‘outsider’ and immigrant all we hear about switzerland regarding the “big cities”, outside switzerland is Zürich, like it is the only city that exists here🥲(at least from my experience)
every year my boyfriend and I host a “halfyear new years” glitter eurovision party, and it would be amazing if we could get tickets with some friends for the final rehersal.
I have not visited too many places yet, but so far of what I have seen, Basel is no way near as charming and beautiful as Zürich, Luzern, Thun, Spiez or Bern imo😅
