Hello! I’m planning a winter overlanding trip from Bandar Abbas (Iran) to Georgia and I’ll transit through Azerbaijan. According to the U.S. embassy every country in the world is dangerous, but I’m not USian so I wanted to ask you! I’ll travel solo, with a tent on my rooftop, and my 50yo car has a Sharjah (UAE) classic plate. Will a UAE plate make me a target for some political reason that I don’t know? I will avoid big cities, I really just need to transit, but also I’d like to be safe if I camp overnight. This is the route I was thinking of going. Thank you!

UAE citizens are welcomed and the country is pretty safe, but the problem is borders closed. Good luck.
