I live in fear that if I was ever to take part in an illegal, violent insurrection, I might receive a harshly worded letter. *shudders*

Let the state bar discipline him THEN let him appeal.

“‘We have full confidence the Supreme Court of Texas will not allow false claims by the State Bar and partisan political revenge to affect professional licensure of the state’s lawyers,’ Paxton spokeswoman Paige Willey told the AP in a statement.”
This is wildly inaccurate. Paxton isn’t arguing that his election-denying claims were factually true, or that the state bar’s assertion they were impermissibly frivolous is inaccurate. He’s simply arguing that he’s immune from the same rules that apply to all Texas attorneys because, effectively, he’s the most powerful attorney in the state. It’s like the most dictatorial argument he could possibly make. “I can’t be penalized because you’re all minions to me,” basically.
With that said, he’s a Republican and all 9 Texas Supreme Court justices are Republican. They will let him off because that’s what they do for their own. If it was a Democrat in his shoes, better believe Texas Supreme Court would allow the state bar to continue.

But he won’t.
At this point I think he is a red herring for us to chase after while Abbott and the rest of his criminal shithead friends do everything they can to prevent Democratic votes from being counted.

Honestly, given how things run in Texas, I’m not entirely convinced he can be.

He can be punished but he won’t be punished. That’s how it works in Texas. Now, if he was a liberal, his career would be over.

Spoiler alert: he won’t be.

To be a Republican criminal in Texas. No worries ever.

Abuse of office, bribes, witness intimidation, but nothing stuck. But now you want us to believe he’ll get in trouble for filing a lawsuit?

We’ve never had such crap go on in America. Not to this extreme and so blatantly or had so many idiots so arrogantly sure that their emotional landscape and preferences excuse such outlandish behavior.
So the legal system has been puzzling through it all.
It’s been annoyingly slow, but with reason.

Let me try this again. So now that we know he can. May he please be punished for attempting to overturn the 2020 election?

As a Texan….I hate that people in other states know our attorney general. I don’t know who the attorney general is in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, or New Mexico….the states that neighbor Texas. Why is ours an asshole that EVERYONE knows?
