You know, if it weren’t for a deregulated auto industry they would have never left the plant anyways. Just trusting that these corporations are going to do the right thing—not the cheapest thing—is putting our lives on the line.

This kind of charge was done with the 5 series Audi cars back in the late 80s. The “brake pedal” made the car accelerate, in that case. It was pretty devastating to their brand perception…

>Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2024 Cybertruck vehicles. The accelerator pedal pad may dislodge and cause the pedal to become trapped by the interior trim.
>Remedy
>Tesla service will replace or repair the accelerator pedal assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in June 2024. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla’s number for this recall is SB-24-33-003.

Specifically, the accelerator has a fascia that is held on by a couple of woefully inadequate clips. If too much pressure is applied, the fascia can slip up and cause the accelerator to become lodged in the floorboard. It’s just a really bad design.
Well, you can’t expect them to test every aspect of a car.
Boycott Musk and Twitter and Tesla
