  1. As an American, I say ignore the US parochial interests on the effects of energy! Winning the war on Russia is a far bigger concern, and for Ukrainians it’s about the existence of their country. We can do without the Russian ‘gas station’

One massive overwhelming strike, with secondary strikes, against all oil and gas key facilities and pipeline key facilities at the same time would be good.

The aim is to hit both the civilian economy to sow discontent in the population. Not that the civilian population will do anything but Kremlin will nonetheless feel the real or imaginary heat and will have to yield additional resources for the”home front”.

Secondary and more importantly for the war such a concentrated strike would affect the Russian forces available fuel which would affect operations. Further it could affect specialty products such as aviation fuel, grease and lubrication products. And so forth.

Spend time shaping the battle field so Russian air defense are less capable. Then launch.

The US can get lost with their demands, its not like they are a reliable ally.

As an American let me say this, personally I want Ukraine to destroy any target they think will help them win the war. That said if Ukraine takes out too much of Russian oil and gas production it will raise energy prices. Biden and his team rightly feel that prices at the pump going up will hurt him and his reelection chances. If Trump wins Zelenskyy had better come up with some way of stroking Trumps ego and at the same time finding a way to drive a wedge between Trump and Putin’s bromance.
