- Romania is among the EU member countries with the most important increases in industrial production in the EU bloc, according to the data published on April 15, by Eurostat. The results confirm the positive effect of the massive investments promoted by the PSD Government in the Romanian economy.
In reality, industrial production in the first two months of the year fell by 3.1% compared to the same period last year. And in 2023 it decreased by 4.9% compared to 2022. And in 2022 it decreased by 1.8% compared to 2021. In fact, we are in the sixth year of uninterrupted decline in industrial production.
- Last year, the value of public investments was at a record level of 101 billion lei, i.e. over 20 billion euros. Growing by 33% this year, the value of public investments exceeded the amount of the public deficit in 2023. For 2024, their forecast value is over 120 billion lei, i.e. the equivalent of 7.2% of GDP.
In reality, public investments were only 38 billion lei in 2023, 2 billion less than in 2022, while the budget deficit was 90 billion. Where did the money go?

In fact, since 1990, Romania has continuously ranked first in the list of the worst country ratings in Europe.
- The decision to reconfirm the sovereign rating and maintain the stable outlook is supported, in the agency’s view, by the moderate stock of external and government debt and our country’s solid growth prospects over the next two years.
In reality, Romania’s economy contracted by 0.5% in the 4th quarter, after an advance of 1% in the 3rd quarter and 1.4% in the 2nd quarter. Romania has the highest inflation in the European Union. If the first quarter of 2024 is also in the red, we are entering a technical recession.
- Through the PSD policies, Romania registers a healthy economic growth, supported by investments and not by consumption.
