Hello!
I listened to this song, Stjernestøv by Aurora, the year it was released. It was for a Christmas tv show, and I guess the only song Aurora performed in Norwegian?

It was love at first listen, and sadly, I couldn’t find anything similar to it. Yes, I listen to Aurora, but she sings in English. This was an exception. Spotify did not help either.

This song is calm, warm and has a touch of that magical air. It reminds me of a lullaby, or a folk song. Her enunciation made every word crystal clear too, which led to an interest in the language. That’s why I insist on Norwegian songs.

So, can you think of any similar songs in Norwegian? Or an artist that falls under this category? It would mean a lot :’)

  1. Here are all the songs Aurora has sung in Norwegian:

“Det hev ei rose sprunge” (two versions, one live on P3, one with Herbjørg Kråkevik)

“Helt til månen går til ro” (cover, sung during the Nidarosdomen concert but cut from the broadcast and never released)

    “Helvegen” (with Wardruna)

    “Jon Blund” (cover)

    “Stjernestøv”

“Vinterens gåte” (only Norwegian song written by Aurora)

I would recommend checking out Kalandra and Gåte.
