  1. Voluntarily taking this to trial is the stupidest move a person could make. You would think appearing IN ACTUAL CRIMINAL COURT might give off the wrong vibe.

“Everyone knows when a star touches her privates, it’s a gift, she was touched by a star. That’s the way it’s always been. For thousands of years. Those are the rules of life. I win. And you only found this stuff because you looked. If you hadn’t looked, you wouldn’t have found it. So I win.”

“Trump had his eyes closed for a period of time as the judge was reading the potential jurors his instructions, and h**is eyes looked red and bloodshot** when he opened them and peered at the judge.”

    Had he been *crying*…?

Slanted coverage: what is a “low-level felony”? I thought felonies were by definition serious. And the trial is not simply about “falsifying business documents,” but falsifying business docs to cover up another, different crime, in this case election fraud.

edit: Okay, I am now educated about low-level felonies (kind of like having non-serious surgery (!)) Now what about simply falsifying business docs?

  5. The prosecutors can’t play the tape, but they can discuss it how it pertains to trying to cover it up anything further.

What a stupid way to go to prison, is that it? Because he tried to coverup he fucked a hooker. Sounds a little harsh, but then again I’m not American so what do I know.

What’s nice about this is there will be no “But her emails” equivalent to all this. Impeachment attempts have failed, and nobody cares about Hunter Biden. There is no way for him to deflect attention from this trial. It’s beautiful.

  8. PEOPLE V. DONALD TRUMP
    CASE SUMMARY

The Defendant, Donald Trump, is charged with 34 counts of Falsifying Business
    Records in the First Degree.

The allegations are in substance, that Donald Trump falsified business records

It is not a fucking “hush money” trial. It is an election interference trial.

I just don’t get why people defend this asshole. He committed so many crimes pretty egregiously. Anyone who doesn’t have their head stuck in an echo chamber knows he has a high probability of being found guilty in most of his cases.

We really need to do something about Fox News and all of their right wing media pals. When millions of Americans are this ignorant of objective truth it’s very concerning. When Trump inevitably gets found guilty then they’ll just shove their heads further in the sand. They’ll accuse everyone else of being sheep and cry about a witch hunt.

It’s dangerous if you ask me. It doesn’t do us any favors when millions of people live in a fictional reality catering to the ego of one very powerful narcissistic psychopath. We should know better than to allow so much dehumanization in the media.

Our country will never get better and continue on a downward spiral if we keep ignoring it because of the First Amendment. I feel like this societal decline and polarization can be explicitly correlated to the rise of Fox News.

  10. Do we know how long this trial might last? Can expect a verdict before election if he isn’t successful running interference?

    Trump is a cheapskate.

All he had to do was write Stormy Daniels a personal check.

Instead he chose to make it a “business expense”.

Now the world will know Trump is another Harvey Weinstein — showing up at the door in his bathrobe.

No wonder Trump said: “When you’re famous they just let you do it”.

Stormy Daniels is going to describe her encounter with Trump as if Trump was Harvey Weinstein.

I thought this was decided awhile back when the judge said they could use the transcript during the trial but not show the video?
