  1. Accused of having organised the conference that allowed an imam to [recite a sura from the gallery of the Brussels parliament](https://www.dhnet.be/regions/bruxelles/2024/02/16/un-imam-chante-une-sourate-du-coran-au-micro-du-parlement-bruxellois-video-MX3DTDB4FFCMPMBNUMSTJRKHJY/), local councillor Mohammad Nasir is demanding… two billion euros from the City of Brussels. “*If I don’t get an answer to my questions by Sunday evening.* If I don’t get an answer to my questions by Sunday evening*, I will make this email part of my complaint, demanding compensation of 2 billion euros from the Brussels City Council for the mental and emotional distress caused by these mountains of lies, and your negative behaviour towards me”,* he writes in a very long letter sent to the elected representatives of the City of Brussels, a copy of which La DH was able to obtain.

*”The reaction of my colleagues on the council towards me was both cruel and discriminatory, destroying my mental and emotional health.* *Since that incident, and to this day, I regularly consult a psychologist to overcome this mental and emotional disturbance.* *Since that tragic day on 19 February, my life has been turned upside down.* *Unable to work, I desperately miss my previous salary of €3,500 a month, to the point where I have to borrow money from my friends to support myself.* It is *obvious that the deterioration in my mental and emotional health is a direct result of your behaviour towards me”,* wrote the local councillor.

In his letter, he also accused, in no particular order, Karine Lalieux (PS) of having “*approached* him in a*pressing and insulting manner, demanding that I immediately contact the imam so that he can send you a letter of forgiveness?* “He also *accused* Philippe Close (PS), Nawal Ben Hamou (PS) of having “*asked* him*to delete all the videos and photos on Instagram and Facebook where photos of the Bishop were published. Do you think this request helps citizens to access and search for the correct information?”* and Benoit Hellings (Ecolo), Khalid Zian (PS), Mathias Vanden Borre (N-VA) and Bianca Debaets (CD&V).

*”The Imam is a much better person than all 49 members of the Brussels City Council and all 89 members of the Brussels Parliament, and especially than the national media, who have played a dishonest role in exposing the Imam in the most negative way possible while hiding the presence of the Bishop in the Brussels Parliament.* *This is today’s reality and the face of dirty politics”,* writes Mohammad Nasir.
