I am a newbie in the linux world. I recently discovered that there is a linux application like “james dsp” which is such a very powerful equalizer (makes listening to any audio more enjoyable). Are there any other applications for linux that can greatly improve the user experience?

I myself have tried to find similar applications by searching for “best linux applications” and found one or two, but I suspect that many applications cannot be found that way (james dsp was not listed in any such list).
