One is waging a war of conquest, the other a war of defense. Not only is the comparison absurd on both logical and ethical grounds, but neither of them is genocidal. Words have meanings, and the meaning of genocide isn’t “lots of people getting killed”.

There’s a lot more similarities between Russia and Israel than people realize. Both have a nationalist population that has a warped view of the world, both use the historical territory justification, both use the human shields argument, both have a habit of settling population outside their recognized borders.
